Up until now whenever I thought of HD LED, I always thought of Sharp or Samsung. However companies like LGE and VIZIO are starting to stir up a buzz of their own. Check out the description below from the Vizio site: “Extreme VIZIO Technology! The VF551XVT 55” TruLED™ delivers the best picture quality available on an LCD HDTV. This direct type, backlit LED HDTV is comprised of 960 LEDs divided into 80 control blocks and utilities Smart Dimming™ to intelligently control these blocks turning them on and completely off based on the content you’re watching. This cutting edge technology stops light leakage enabling you to achieve REAL 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio for rich, dark scenes delivering an experience that will blow you away. Rounding this out are features such as full 1080p high definition resolution for crystal clear images, 240Hz Smooth Motion for fluid transitions and SRS audio technologies for amazing sound! The Extreme VIZIO Technology series epitomizes what HDTV should be!” This could be an affordable alternative for some TV lovers! Here’s quick look at the Samsung LN46A950 46 inch Full HD 1080p LED HDTV. Although this isn’t the newest model in the Samsung family, this is a TV worth watching. Now the best thing that I like about this TV is the life-like colors. The Auto Motion Plus 120Hz processing and super fast 4ms panel response time gives you the “I’m at the movies, pass the popcorn” quality picture. This TV also has four HDMI v1.3 inputs for optimal high definition connectivity,built-in digital ATSC and Clear QAM tuners that allowe you to view HD video from any source. It’s also a nice looking TV. Other features include: Screen Size : 45.9 inches; Resolution : 1920 (H) x 1080 (V);Dynamic Contrast Ratio : 1,000,000:1; HDMI : 3. LG Electronics (LG), announced the launch of its SL9000, a Full HD LED TV a cooler version of the SL80 that was released in July. However, the LGSL900 is super sleek with a smoother smoked glass finish. The TV has flawless pictur quality and uses advanced LED blacklight technology developed by LG. It is so thin that it would look perfect on any wall. LG’s latest HDTV, the SL9000, uses film lamination to eliminate the gap between the screen and the bezel. A special sheet of laminate film completes the SL9000’s perfectly flat surface, eliminating the line between the screen and the bezel while also significantly reducing glare. The result is a uniform, seamless surface from edge-to-edge, with no visible frame. The screen and bezel are the same deep shade of black and LG even carried this theme down to the glasslike stand. With a depth of just 2.9cm, the SL9000 is a beautiful window into a new world of home entertainment. LG’s Full HD SL9000 LED TV will be available in most parts of the world starting in October. Additional information is available at www.lge.com.
