Samsung Launch new LED TV

Samsung are one of the first companies to launch the new LED technology in their range of fantastic High Definition Televisions. Their ultra slim series 6 and series 7 models use Light Emitting Diodes (LED) instead of Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) which all LCD TV’s use.
The benefits of using this technology allow for some pretty impressive results:
Ultra Slim Design: Since LED TVs do not need to be lit by fluorescent bulbs (which add greatly to the depth/thickness build of the traditional LCD TVs), it means that the it opens up the opportunity for thinner, stylish TV designs using current LCD technology.
Environmentally Friendly – LEDs they produce little heat, so energy wastage is reduced and therefore uses around 40% less power than an average TV. Also, because the components are inert plastic and metal they are better for the environment whereas traditional LCDs using fluorescent bulbs contain gases that need to be carefully disposed of.
Improved Picture Quality – LED TVs typically produce deeper blacks and due to the nature in which they are used, ie. They are used in groups to light the display, even if one fails then the rest of the group still produces light and the TV can still be used – whereas if an fluorescent bulb in a traditional LCD, you may end up just having to replace the TV.
